The 3rd Portland Comedy Film Festival has officially been scheduled for March 24th, 2018 in Portland, Oregon. Unlike other festivals that are sometimes screened in obscure classrooms, where the films are mixed with a variety of genres, the  Portland Comedy Film Festival 2018 will take place at the Avalon Theater in downtown Portland, Oregon. All films will be screened in 1080p HD Format on Blu-Ray DVD and played for an audience in a rapid fire, back-to-back format of pure comedy that is a unique experience for our audience. The first two Portland Comedy Film Festivals were sellouts. Year 2 of the Portland Comedy Film Festival Screened 51 Films over 4 days. The event is growing in local popularity and is increasing it's social media presence daily. Filmmakers from 10 different states and 3 different countries attended the 2017 Event in May. The Portland Comedy Film Festival plans to grow the theater size, media exposure, community presence in 2018. If you want your film to be seen by sold out crowd that features back-to-back comedy films, the Portland Comedy Film Festival is the place to do it. The Portland Comedy Film Festival has been rated in the FilmFreeway top 100 Film Festivals in the world based on filmmaker feedback.

Comedy Feature Film
The Portland Comedy Film Festival is looking for funny and engaging comedy feature films that are a minimum of 31 minutes, but are no longer than 100 minutes including all credits. All varieties of Comedy are accepted in this category including Romantic Comedy, Dark Comedy, Animated Films, Mockumentary Films, Comedy Web Series, International Comedy and anything else that will bring laughter to our audience. All languages are accepted, but the subtitles must be in English.

Comedy Short Film
The Portland Comedy Film Festival is looking for funny and engaging Comedy Short Films that are a minimum of 6 minutes, but are no longer than 30 minutes including all credits. All varieties of Comedy are accepted in this category including Romantic Comedy, Dark Comedy, Animated Films, Mockumentary Films, Comedy Web Series, International Comedy and anything else that will bring laughter to our audience. We screen short comedy films in a back-to-back format that is fast paced, fun and a unique experience for our audience. All languages are accepted, but the subtitles must be in English.

Micro Comedy Short Film
The Portland Comedy Film Festival is looking for funny and engaging Comedy Micro Short Films that are a maximum of 5 minutes in length including all credits. All varieties of Comedy are accepted in this category including Romantic Comedy, Dark Comedy, Animated Films, Mockumentary Films, Comedy Web Series, International Comedy and anything else that will bring laughter to our audience. We screen short comedy films in a back-to-back format that is fast paced, fun and a unique experience for our audience. All languages are accepted, but the subtitles must be in English.

Funny Music Video
The Portland Comedy Film Festival is looking for funny and engaging music videos that are thought provoking and make people laugh. Funny Music Videos must be 5 minutes or less in length including credits. Public music videos that are currently on youtube, Vimeo, or Vevo are eligible.

Comedy Feature Film Screenplay
The Portland Comedy Film Festival is looking for funny and engaging writing that is thought provoking and makes people laugh. A Comedy Feature Film Screenplay must be a minimum length of 31 pages and a maximum length of 100 pages. All screenplays must be written in English. 12 different judges will read every word of every screenplay submitted.
